Biography
After completing his postdoctoral training at Baylor College of Medicine in 2002, Dr. Xuefeng Xia joined the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston as an instructor. Dr. Xia was appointed to assistant professor of medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center in 2006. He was appointed assistant member at the Houston Methodist Research Institute in 2008. Dr. Xia's research projects focus on liver and kidney disease function and disease states, and span the Genomic Medicine and Diabetes & Metabolic Disease research programs at the Research Institute. Dr. Xia is also a member of American Gastroenterology Association and The Endocrine Society.
